A 42-year-old man has been arrested on the charge of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl near Manachanallur on Sunday.
The girl and the accused, M. Das, were neighbours. Acting on a complaint from the victim’s mother, Lalgudi All Women Police registered a case under sections 7 read with 8 of the POCSO Act, said police sources.
