Man held under POCSO Act in Orathanadu

The Orathanadu All Women Police have arrested a 28-year-old person on charges of impregnating a schoolgirl and remanded him to judicial custody.

According to the police, the accused, Prakash, 28, living on the outskirts of Orathanadu developed intimacy with a girl studying in Class 9 and impregnated her. Recently, her parents noticed some changes in her health condition and on inquiry the girl revealed her intimacy with the accused.

Subsequently, a complaint was lodged by the girl’s parents with the Orathanadu All Women Police, who have arrested the accused under POCSO Act and remanded him to judicial custody.
