A tragic incident that occurred in Laxmidevipeta, Anakapalli, during the early hours of Monday (March 30, 2026) when a 75-year-old man, Rebaka Ramarao, was killed when the air conditioner in his room reportedly exploded, according to police.
The blast took place around 4 a.m. while Ramarao was asleep in his room. His wife and other family members, who were sleeping in an adjacent room, were jolted by the deafening sound and managed to run out of the house just in time, averting a potentially larger casualty.
