The 32nd Mankani festival will witness a grand opening at the Government College of Arts and Science for Men in Krishnagiri on Friday (July 10, 2026). The exhibition will have stalls showcasing the horticultural richness of the district.
The exhibition will open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will host cultural programmes with the participation of artists from across the State, alongside the performances of school and college students. There will be flower stalls, 50 government stalls and 80 private stalls, and recreational enclaves for the public and children.
The 10-day long festivities will include performance of folk art forms such as Thappattam, Mayilattam, and Oyilattam, magic shows, theatre and folk songs performances, among others. The festival will be inaugurated by Minister for Industries S. Keerthana along with Minister for Agriculture R. Vinodh.
On Thursday (July 9, 2026), district Collector C. Dinesh Kumar inspected the arrangements. Special buses will be deployed between 4 p.m and 10 p.m at the new bus stand, Anna statur, R.C. Fathima Church, Old Bus stand, Roundana, Salem Bypass junction, and Government Arts College stadium.
