Minister urges parents to strive for polio-free India

Minister for Social Welfare Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy on Sunday (December 21, 2025) urged parents to have their children aged 0-5 years administered polio drops, thereby contributing to making India polio-free.

Speaking after administering polio drops to an infant at a camp organised at Thoorpunaidupalem village in Tangutur mandal of Prakasam district on Sunday, he called it the primary responsibility of every parent to ensure that the disease is completely eradicated.

Mr. Swamy called upon the medical and health officials to visit every doorstep to ensure that every child is covered, in order to achieve 100% coverage.
