The Animal Husbandry department’s Animal Disease Control Project (ADCP), Kozhikode, will conduct the fourth phase of the Rabies-Free Kerala vaccination campaign in the district from September 28 to October 27.
The campaign will be launched on Monday (September 28) on the occasion of World Rabies Day. Vaccination drives will be organised through veterinary hospitals, veterinary dispensaries and ward-level camps in collaboration with various local self-government institutions.
Officials said that a microplan suited to each locality would be prepared in coordination with the local bodies to streamline the vaccination activities. The campaign will also focus on creating public awareness about the importance of vaccinating pet dogs against rabies on time.
