MP asks Health Dept. to write to govt. over private hospital in Manipal not treating patients under AB-Ark Scheme

Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Member of Parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary on Saturday instructed the Department of Health and Family Welfare in Udupi to write to the director of Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust regarding complaints over a private hospital in Manipal not responding to treat patients referred to it by Udupi District Government Hospital under the Ayushman Bharat – Arogya Karnataka (AB-ArK) scheme.

Presiding over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in Udupi, Mr. Poojary said that the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi T. K. Swaroopa should also convene a meeting within a week to address the issue. Elected representatives of the district should be called to the meeting, he said.
