Muralee Mohan Choontharu, a doctor of Mangaluru, has been
appointed as Honorary Officer Commanding Warden Service (Chief
Warden), Civil Defence, Dakshina Kannada, for one year with effect from
February 2, 2026.

The Director General of Police and Commandant General, Home Guards and Director of Civil Defence, Karnataka, has appointed Muralee Mohan Choontharu, a doctor in Mangaluru, as Honorary Officer Commanding Warden Service (Chief Warden), Civil Defence, Dakshina Kannada.

The appointment, for implementing civil defence measures, is valid for one year from February 2, 2026.

Dr. Choontharu was formerly District Commandant, Home Guards, Dakshina Kannada, for 10 years till the first week of January 2025.
