Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao on Tuesday (December 30, 2025) alleged that 2025 was a bitter year for the people as NDA government had ignored both education and health sectors. Addressing a media conference here, he said that thousands of students were being forced to pay college fees as the government had not cleared fee reimbursement dues to many engineering and degree colleges in Vizianagaram and other districts. He said that the move to privatise Vizianagaram government medical college had shocked everyone in the district. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that the farmers were unable to get remunerative prices for paddy and other produces as the government failed to take up market intervention to stop the drop of the prices in the open market.
