A neurology department with advanced MRI scanning was inaugurated at DVC Hospital in Vadlamudi on Saturday (January 24) by Minister for Finance Payyavula Keshav, Minister for Endowments Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar.

Mr. Payyavula Keshav said public representatives reach higher positions only by working sincerely for people and the State. “Criticism is natural in politics. The previous government filed cases and even arrested Mr. Narendra, but failed to prove a single allegation. Those who filed cases stood embarrassed in courts,” he said. He recalled how, during his arrest, Mr. Narendra was more concerned about protecting Sangam Dairy from political takeover.

“The good work done by Veerayya Chowdary and Narendra saved Sangam Dairy, which grew from [a business of ] ₹200 crore to ₹2,000 crore, transforming the lives of thousands of farmers,” he added.

Mr. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said that only those with resilience survive in public life. “Sangam Dairy is like an impregnable fort of farmers and cannot be weakened by conspiracies,” he said, adding that under the Srivani programme, 5,000 temples are being built with a long-term vision of 20,000 temples.

MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar said he entered politics unexpectedly after his father Veerayya Chowdary’s demise and became Sangam Dairy chairman and MLA at 26. “Despite severe harassment and prolonged ACB inspections, we stood firm. Our goal is to provide quality, affordable healthcare at DVC Hospital, with scope for research and future cancer treatment,” he said.
