Officials protest at Collectorate condemning abuse of woman colleague

A group of government officials owing allegiance to the Tamil Nadu Revenue Department Group – II Directly Recruited Officers Association resorted to a waiting agitation at the entrance of the District Collectorate here on Monday condemning the alleged abuse and threat to a woman employee working at the Tiruchi West taluk office and ensuring the protection of women employees.

Police sources said the waiting agitation lasted a couple of hours in the evening during which the officials sought stern action against the guilty who allegedly attacked the woman official. Sources said although a case had been booked against the guilty, he was yet to be arrested.
