Coimbatore district Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar handed over appointment letters to candidates who got jobs at a private job fair held in Coimbatore on Saturday.

As many as 1,022 of the 3,229 candidates who took part in a private job fair organised in Coimbatore city on Saturday (December 13, 2025) secured jobs.
The fair, organised by the Coimbatore district administration, Coimbatore district employment and career guidance centre, and the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, saw 245 companies recruiting candidates for jobs, including graphic designers, software developers, drivers, teachers, etc. Candidates who had studied till class VIII, X, or XII, diploma, ITI courses, engineering and teaching courses took part.
Of the total participants, 31 were people with disabilities and 15 of them got jobs.
A total of 1,432 men and 1,797 women took part in the job fair and 445 men and 577 women secured jobs. Another 753 were identified for the next round of selection. Coimbatore Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar handed over appointment letters to candidates who got jobs.
The candidates were also guided on overseas job opportunities, study circle programmes, financial support for unemployed youth, etc., said a press release from the district administration.
