Construction of Indiramma housing towers in Hyderabad (CURE) under first phase would be completed in a year, as per official statement.

With two more days to go for the deadline to apply for the Telangana government’s Indiramma Houses (affordable flats) in Hyderabad (CURE) limits, the Telangana Housing Board has received 35,125 applications for 7,340 flats till Saturday (August 8) evening. It was preliminarily decided to hold lotteries for selection of beneficiaries from August 20.
The Board had earlier asked people to apply for the houses only in their Assembly constituency. It was learnt that the lotteries would be conducted Assembly constituency-wise, pooling in applications from the limits. People can apply for the houses till August 10.
The highest of 4,394 applications were received from Khairatabad Assembly constituency, followed by 4,121 from Quthbullapur and 3,613 from Nampally. While the Board had earlier decided to construct 480 flats in Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, the number might be reduced to 120 due to restrictions on height of buildings.
The Board’s Vice Chairman V.P. Gautham said that measures are being taken to complete the construction within a year and hand over the houses to people. Tenders for the construction are in the process.
The State government intends to construct one lakh houses in the CURE limits, with 500 flats in each of the Assembly constituencies under phase I. On July 20, it announced a list of the 16 Assembly constituencies where the housing towers would be constructed. Applications were accepted from July 21, through MeeSeva centres or its website or its WhatsApp number (8096958096). It would be built in some more Assembly constituencies in the CURE limits.
While the government would provide a subsidy of ₹5 lakh, each beneficiary has to pay ₹6 lakh in four installments to own a house.
People have to pay an application fee of ₹100 and ₹10,000 earnest money deposit (EMD) during the application. Mr. Gautham reiterated that the EMD will be refunded if a house is not allotted to an applicant. Besides Aadhaar card, people can submit voter ID, driving licence and bank passbook for verification of address. People can dial 040-24603572 in case of doubts.
