Pachaiyappa’s Trust gets new board members after election

After several years of delay amid litigation, the Pachaiyappa’s Trust has a new set of board members after elections were held earlier this month in pursuance of the order of the Madras High Court.

The newly-constituted Board had its presidential elections subsequently and S. Jayachandran has been elected the President of the Pachaiyappa’s Trust Board. The Board also nominated S. Paramasivam as Financial Trustee and appointed R. Prabhaakaran as Member Secretary of the Board.

The following members were elected to the Board: C. Saravanan and Sinora P.S. Ashok were elected under the Hindu Members — Senate — University of Madras constituency; S. Jayachandran and R. Prabhaakaran were elected under the Pachaiyappa’s Trust College Council constituency; K. Hemanath and V. Ramanathan were elected under Approved Teachers constituency; and S. Paramasivam, Kaattur G. Sampath, and S. Suresh were elected under the Registered Graduate constituency.

The Board has now officially commenced proceedings to oversee regular administrative activities.
