Around 150 persons with disabilities participated in the “Special Children Walkathon” conducted by the TRM Surya Foundation on Friday. They also raised slogans on anti-drug awareness.

“We have multiple walkathons happening, but we wanted to conduct an inclusive one where persons with disabilities could participate. We also wanted to address an important concern,” said Prabha Gurumurthy, founder of the TRM Surya Foundation.

The walk started at the Egmore Old Chitra Theatre and ended at the LG Roundtana. District Differently Abled Welfare Officer, north Chennai, P. Saravana Kumar, and veteran actor Ambika participated as chief guests.
