A petrol bunk employee allegedly ended his life in a shed near Lingaiah Cheruvu Gattu in Eluru Town on Monday (January 26, 2026). The deceased was identified as B. Venkateswara Rao alias Anjibabu (55), who had been working at the bunk operated by a private society.
The victim’s wife, Nagalakshmi, alleged that her husband resorted to the extreme step due to the harrassment by the society management. She staged a protest with the body at her residence demanding justice.
Police registered a case and took up investigation. The body was handed over to the family members after post mortem, the police said on Tuesday (January 27).
