Theni police on Thursday nabbed a remand prisoner Karthik (24) of Gullapuram in Periyakulam who had escaped while he was in police custody on September 22.
On September 22, Karthik was produced before the Periyakulam court and while he was being escorted back to the prison he managed to escape from police custody.
A special team was formed to apprehend him. The special team arrested Karthik near Kodimangalam in Madurai district. He was produced before the Periyakulam court and remanded in judicial custody.
