Railway police on hunt to identify body on train originating from Chennai Central station

The Central railway police in Chennai are looking to identify a body found in a suitcase in an express train at Agra Cantonment.

The body of an unidentified male was found by the Agra Railway police in the unreserved compartment of the Tamil Nadu Express train operated from Dr. MGR Chennai Central railway station to New Delhi last week.

A senior official of the Government Railway Police (GRP) said the Agra Railway Protection Force (RPF) filed a case and sent the photographs of the body and the suitcase in which it was packed. Based on the photos and analysis of CCTV footages recorded at the Chennai Central station, the Central GRP found that a young couple who are believed to be migrant workers had brought the suitcase.

The Agra RPF have also sought the help of the Central GRP in identifying the body.
