Justice Suddala Chalapathi Rao of the Telangana High Court directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Principal Secretary of Revenue (Endowments) to remove all encroachments on the premises of a Goshala near the Muslim Jung bridge in Hyderabad.
The order was passed in a writ petition filed by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals alleging that the land for Goshala was granted before independence, and some persons were encroaching upon its land admeasuring nearly 4,000 square yards.
