With the conclusion of the Medaram Jatara special operations of the Telangana Road Transport Corporation, the Hyderabad Region pressed into service the highest number of buses and personnel to manage traffic, according to officials.
As many as 516 buses from the region were deployed. These were operated by means of the TGSRTC depots in the Warangal Region. Buses covered high traffic points and helping maintain steady passenger flow to the country’s largest tribal congregation.
According to Sudha Parimala, who is the Hyderabad Regional Manager, the region operated 559 special trips from Uppal X Roads between January 25 and February 1. These buses transported approximately 20,000 passengers directly to Medaram during the jatara period.

The teams included deputy regional managers, mepot managers, traffic and mechanical supervisors, personnel staff, drivers, conductors, mechanics and other support staff.
Ms. Parimala pointed out that coordination between operational and field units ensured round‑the‑clock supervision and timely handling of passenger loads.
Regional staff were stationed at key movement points to assist pilgrims, monitor bus movements, and deal with service issues. Mechanical teams remained on standby to manage breakdowns, while supervisory staff ensured that frequency and schedules were maintained despite heavy rush.
“The successful execution of the Medaram operations reflects the dedication, coordination and tireless efforts of drivers, conductors and supervisory staff of Hyderabad Region in delivering efficient and reliable public transport services,” Ms. Parimala stated.
