Gandhi Museum has been illuminated ahead of visit of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in Madurai.

An elaborate security arrangement has been made for the maiden visit of Chief Minister, C. Joseph Vijay, to Madurai city on Monday.
Mr. Vijay would be participating in a couple of functions and also offer prayers at Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple.
The Chief Minister would arrive Madurai Airport at around 11 a.m. and drive straight to the Government Rajaji Hospital, where he would inaugurate the “Thaimaman mothiram” scheme to newborn babies of Government Hospital.
Later, he would go to Gandhi Museum and inaugurate the renovated facility.
The Chief Minister would go to the Circuit House where he would have lunch before going to Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple at 4 p.m.
The temple consecration was held on September 17.
According to police sources, hundreds of police personnel from Madurai city and also drawn from other districts would be deployed throughout the route of the VIP right from Madurai Airport and within the city.
Barricades have been erected on the road margins as a precautionary security measure during the Chief Minister’s movement.
