Shuttered filling stations, restricted sales fuel anxiety in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is currently facing a sudden and acute fuel shortage of both petrol and diesel, leaving hundreds of retail outlets dry and sending citizens into a state of high anxiety.

Commuters, farmers, and transport operators are facing the brunt of the shortage. Long, serpentine queues have become a common sight at the few functional bunks in cities such as Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Guntur, Kakinada, and Kurnool.
