SI suspended following death of woman constable

Avadi Police Commissioner K. Shankar has ordered the suspension of Ranjith, 31, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the Minjur police station, following the death of Anthony Matha, 30, a woman constable of the Ambattur station. The police said the constable ended her life on Sunday. A senior official of the Avadi Police Commissioner’s said the suspension followed complaints made by the relatives of Anthony Matha against the SI regarding the relationship between them.
