The Telangana High Court has granted bail to Sigachi Industries Managing Director and CEO Amit Raj Sinha, who was arrested on December 27 in connection with the June 30 blast at the company’s factory in Hyderabad in which about 50 people died and several others were injured.

The company, in a filing to the stock exchange on Wednesday, said he has got bail ‘in connection with the legal proceedings arising from the unfortunate incident in June 2025. We continue to extend our full cooperation to the investigating authorities and the judicial process to ensure that the matter is addressed in a fair and transparent manner.’

In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities towards those affected, the company remains dedicated to strengthening safety systems and practices across its operations to ensure the ongoing well-being of the workforce and the community, Sigachi Industries said.

Mr. Sinha was named as accused no. 2 by the police in the case registered following a complaint by the family members of the deceased workers. He was arrested after the Telangana High Court insisted on action against the management while hearing a PIL a group of retired scientists had filed seeking accountability for the industrial mishap.
