Silver jubilee of Ramotsava begins at Kadri Maidan

A four-day long Ramotsava organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) began at Kadri Maidan in Mangaluru on Thursday evening.

Large number of devotees and VHP activists took part in the Shobha Yatra of Srirama, Seeta, Lakshmana and Hanumanta idols that began from Kadri Manjunatha temple around 5 p.m. The procession had teams playing Chande, sporting Huli Vesha and doing Kunita Bhajans. The idols were installed at the Kadri Maidan. Then there was Akhanda Bhajan by Vasudaiva Bhajana team.
