The Sivaganga district police have arrested six persons belonging to Hindu Munnani and BJP on charges of trespass and threatening a group of Christians who were conducting prayers on a mill premises at Singampuneri on Sunday.
According to police, the accused persons have charged of trespass, threatening the Christians, and under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.
The police said that upon hearing about the prayer, the Hindu front functionaries had gone into the mill premises and picked a quarrel claiming that the prayer was being conducted without proper permission.
Later, a complaint of attempt for religious conversion with the police.
The other group also complained about the Hindu front functionaries.
