Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Sunday (December 28, 2025) announced that a Skill Development Centre would be established at KBN College within the next three months, aimed at enhancing employability and practical skills among students from poor and middle-class families.

Addressing an alumni meet organised by the KBN College Old Students Association (KOSA), the MP called upon former students settled across India and abroad to actively contribute to the development of their alma mater as well as to the overall growth of Vijayawada city. He described KBN College as a “beacon of education for the middle class” in the western constituency.

The MP praised KBN College, which is celebrating 60 years of service in education, for producing thousands of successful professionals. He noted that contributions by alumni such as B.N. Reddy, associated with key components of the Chandrayaan mission, had taken the institution’s reputation beyond national boundaries. Although he was not an alumnus himself, he said he felt a strong personal connection with the college and reaffirmed his commitment to its growth.

On the occasion, several distinguished alumni from diverse fields, including former DSP Ashok Kumar Goud, C Channel CEO Ramesh Babu, actors Suhas, psychologist Dr R.K. Ayodhya, IFS officer J.A.C.S. Rao and senior advocate Nandipati Srinivasa Rao, were felicitated along with retired faculty members.
