To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Dasara, Deepavali and Chhath festival season, South Western Railway (SWR) will operate weekly special trains between Mysuru and Rameswaram, with nine trips in each direction.
Train No. 06263 Mysuru–Rameswaram Weekly Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 6.35 p.m. every Monday from October 5 to November 30 and reach Rameswaram at 11 a.m. the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 06264 Rameswaram–Mysuru Weekly Express Special will depart from Rameswaram at 3.30 p.m. every Tuesday from October 6 to December 1 and reach Mysuru at 7.45 a.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Mandya, Ramanagaram, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Manamadurai, Paramakkudi and Ramanathapuram in both directions, a press release said.
The special trains will comprise 21 coaches — two AC 2-Tier, five AC 3-Tier, eight Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one Brake/Luggage/Generator Car and one Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van with Divyangjan facilities, the release added.
