The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and official spokesperson of the party Bypalli Parameswara Rao provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 each to the families of the four rail accident victims in Tekkali, Srikakulam district.

Recently, four tribal students studying intermediate were run over by a train near Tekkali after they reportedly failed to notice the train while walking along the railway track. Due to heavy rain, they could not see the movement of Rajya Rani Express (Train No.18117).

Mr. Parameswara Rao consoled the families and said that that the incident had shocked everyone across the State. He alleged that the hostel management had failed to ensure the safety of the students and had allowed them to move freely in bad weather condition.

He asked the Collector Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar to take stern action against those responsible for the untimely death of the four students.
