For the first time in its history, the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam achieved a record revenue of ₹73,19,314 through online sale of sevas and darshan tickets, on Friday (December 26).

In a joint statement here on Saturday, temple trust board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and executive officer (EO) M. Srinivas Rao said the temple management had made available sparsha darshan, ₹300 athi sheegra darshan and ₹150 sheegra darshan tickets online, apart from 14 arjitha sevas. These can also be availed through Mana Mithra WhatsApp governance number 95523 00009, they said.

They said the record revenue came through 12,000 transactions done on a single day and through the sale of darshan tickets, laddu prasadams, arjitha abhishekams, arjitha sevas, donations, kesha kandanam (head tonsuring) and other tickets.

Similarly, ₹73,75,511 revenue was generated offline and the total revenue of the day stood at ₹1,46,94,825. “It is for the first time that such a large revenue was generated on a normal day,” they said, and added that the management made all arrangements to cater to the needs of the large number of devotees that visited the temple. The services of temple officials and voluntary service of Siva Sevaks was widely used to ensure hassle-free darshan to the pilgrims, they said.
