SR’s Palakkad Division earns ₹42.37 crore revenue by selling scrap materials

The Palakkad Division of Southern Railway has earned a revenue of ₹42.37 crore through the systematic disposal of scrap materials.

The primary sources of revenue included the disposal of released rails, condemned sleepers, and other rail fittings. The scrapping drive was carried out in a transparent and structured manner in accordance with Railway Board guidelines, a release stated.
