Stray dog menace breaches tolerable limits in Tirunelveli city

The freely roaming stray dogs in packs pose serious threat to the commuters coming to the Tirunelveli Junction bus-stand to take buses to their destinations, especially to their workplaces and the educational institutions in the morning and returning home in the evening.

Even though the public are clamouring for help from the Tirunelveli Corporation to take sustained measures to catch the stray dogs, there urban civic body is in no mood to come to the people’s rescue. Consequently, stray dogs in large number can be seen in all the places including the bus-stands, Tirunelveli Junction Railway Station, markets, farmers’ markets, parks etc.
