Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar inaugurated the new bus terminus in Kallakurichi on Tuesday.
The new bus terminus, established on 5.5 acres, had been built at an estimated cost of ₹16.21 crore on the Emapper bypass in Kallakurichi. The facility features parking bays for 50 buses, 70 commercial shops, a passenger waiting area, a food court, a security room, sanitation complexes and drinking water facilities.
The project, which on completion has fulfilled a long-pending demand of the residents in the area, commenced in 2025. Collector M.S. Prasanth was present on the occasion.
