Tamil Nadu Minister for Social Justice Vanni Arasu on Wednesday (September 23, 2026) launched a round-the-clock control centre meant to take up the grievances of students residing in Social Justice hostels across the State.
The control centre would function on the premises of the Directorate of Adi Dravidar Welfare at Ezhilagam in Chennai. The control centre would take up complaints related to food and accommodation from students residing in Social Justice hostels, submitted through the mobile number +91 73388 01456 and the social media page of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Directorate.
The Minister and the Secretary of the Social Justice Department would be apprised of the status of the grievances every week. During the launch, the Minister also interacted with students residing in Social Justice hostels through video conferencing regarding the infrastructure facilities available.
Social Justice Department Secretary N. Subbaiyan; Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare, K. Senthilraj; and Director, Tribal Welfare, S. Annadurai, were among those present.
