The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has selected Nellore as venue for its annual conclave, Mahanadu, which will be conducted every year from May 27-29, coinciding with the birth anniversary of its founder and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao.

Though it is initially planned to be held in Srikakulam, the sudden shift to Nellore has spurred the district party leaders into action.
