Aiming for a victory in the upcoming Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections, Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat told the party leaders and workers on Thursday to create awareness among the people about the government-led welfare initiatives and the development programmes in the city.
Chairing a preparatory meeting with the party leaders and the cadre of North Assembly constituency, Mr. Bharat called upon party leaders and workers to explain to the people the various welfare and development programmes being undertaken by the coalition government, along with the new infrastructure and development projects being implemented in Visakhapatnam.
He also urged the gathering for further strengthening coordination among party leaders, workers, stating that every party worker should remain accessible to the people, understand their concerns and take initiatives to find solutions to their problems.
Mr. Sribharat said greater organisational strength could be achieved only through stronger coordination, unity and collective efforts among leaders and cadre. He called for preparing a framework of an action plan suited to local conditions and strengthening direct interaction with residents in every ward.
Advising the party workers to identify the issues being faced by the people, the MP asked them to bring the issues to the notice of the authorities and continuously follow up for their resolution.
