Telangana GP Polls-2025 second phase polling on Sunday

The polls to the second phase of Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 would be held on Sunday (December 14, 2025). The first phase polls were held on Thursday and 3,834 Sarpanches, 27,346 Ward Members and 3,347 Up Sarpanches were elected. While 56,19,430 were registered voters, 45,15,141 exercised their franchise registered 84.28% turnout. 

While 4331 Gram Panchayats (GP) were notified under the second phase, 415 Sarpanches were elected unanimously and no nominations were received for five. This leads to polls in 3911 GPs. The voting begins at 7 a.m. and concludes at 1.00 p.m. The counting would begin from 2.00 p.m. Results would be out from the early evening.

Wanaparthy Collector Adarsh Surabhi on Friday asked the polling staff to allow only the contesting candidate or the candidate’s agent to the counting centre on the day of vote counting and they should not be allowed to take their phones. Reports of polling should be sent at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Collectors of various districts and General Observers inspected polling material distribution centres on Saturday. Nagarkurnool Collector Badavath Santosh said that action would be taken against staff who are absent from polling duties; he issued directions to send names of the staff — on unauthorized absence — for suspension. Mahabubnagar Collector Viziendira Boyi distribution centre at Zilla Parishad High School in Koukuntla Mandal to check the arrangements for polling material.
