Telangana High Court directs Mid Manair Reservoir land acquisition officer to appear before it in compensation case

Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed the Land Acquisition Officer and Special Deputy Collector of Mid Manair Reservoir to appear before the Bench on Wednesday, in a writ petition filed by three senior citizens over non payment of ₹19.05 lakh compensation awarded to them. 

The judge also sought to know why the officer declined to take the legal notices served by the petitioners over payment of the compensation. The compensation was awarded in 2023 for the houses acquired by the government at Cheerlavancha village in Thangalapally mandal of Rajanna Siricilla district.
