Hassan Zilla Panchayat CEO Shubham Shukla visited the Government Lower Primary School at Pirumanahalli, near Hassan, on Monday (June 8) to interact with students hailing from Bihar. During the visit, he promised the teacher and students that he would ensure the children receive the necessary documentation to smoothly pursue their studies.

The Hindu had, on Sunday (June 7), published a news report highlighting how these children were studying in a Kannada-medium school, thanks to the dedicated efforts of their teacher, Pramila S.P.

Appreciating the teacher for successfully guiding children from a non-Kannada-speaking background, the CEO stressed that all children deserve quality education and that providing them with access to schooling is paramount. He also summoned local officials from the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) department and instructed them to immediately arrange a midday meal worker for the school.

Ms. Pramila told The Hindu that the CEO’s visit was an encouraging surprise. “The officer’s visit and his words of appreciation validated our efforts, giving us a sense of confidence that what we are doing is truly beneficial for the school and the children. The officer interacted warmly with the students and instructed local officials to find a suitable midday meal cook. We actually haven’t had a cook for the last 10 days,” she said.
