A team led by Vaniyambadi Taluk Supply Officer (TSO) of the Department of Civil Supplies seized around one tonne of rice meant for supply under the Public Distribution System (PDS) from a van near Vaniyambadi town in Tirupattur on Tuesday.
The police said that three persons, Mohammed Ali, 28, V. Gopi, 32, and Siddiq Basha, 26, all residents of Vaniyambadi town, were arrested in connection with the case.
