Three construction workers sustained minor injuries after a mound of earth collapsed on them at an under-construction apartment project spread over about 160 square yards in Gowlidoddi under the Gachibowli police station limits on Thursday (July 30, 2026).
The accident occurred while workers were laying a cement bed inside foundation pits dug for the building’s pillars in the basement. According to preliminary information, a section of loose soil suddenly caved in, trapping the three labourers beneath the mud.
People at the site immediately removed the debris and rescued the trapped workers before shifting them to a nearby hospital. The police said the workers suffered minor injuries and are undergoing treatment.
The Gachibowli Police visited the site and conducted a preliminary inquiry into the incident. However, no police case has been registered as of now.
