The ₹30 crore first prize of the 2026 Thiruvonam bumper lottery operated by the Keralam government’s State Lotteries Directorate went to ticket number TL 360615.
The prize-winning ticket was sold by lottery agent Aneesh M.V. of Kannur (Agency no. C-3789).
The Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery, priced at ₹500 per ticket, had seen record sales this year. All 90 lakh tickets printed by the Kerala State Lotteries Directorate were fully sold out, Lotteries Director K.S. Anju said on Friday (September 25, 2026).
Health Minister K. Muraleedharan inaugurated the draw held at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday (September 26, 2026). Trial runs were held before the actual draw.
The total prize money under this lottery amount to र125.56 crore.
The other prizes are as follows: Second prize (र1 crore each to 20 winners), third prize (र25 lakh to 20 winners – two in each series), fourth prize (र5 lakh to 10 winners – one per series), fifth prize (र2 lakh each to 10 winners – one per series), sixth prize (र5000 to 54,000 winners), seventh prize (र2000 to 81,000 winners), eighth prize – र1000 to 1,24,000 winners), ninth prize (र500 to 2,75,400 winners), consolation prize (र5 lakh each to nine winners).
Once the winner is identified, the Lotteries Directorate will transfer the prize money into the winner’s bank account after deducting the agent’s commission and tax. The winner/winners will also have to remit surcharge and cess on the winnings.
The Lotteries Directorate has hiked the first prize amount from ₹25 crore to ₹30 crore this year. This lottery carries the highest prize money offered by the government-run Kerala State Lotteries in its history. Although a major chunk of the revenue from lottery sales goes into the prize money, the State Lotteries remain a major revenue source for the State government.
Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan had launched this year’s Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery in July. Sales began on July 20.
On Saturday (September 26, 2026), Mr. Muraleedharan also launched the 2026 Pooja Bumper Lottery, which carries a first prize of र12 crore.
