The ongoing ‘Tirupati Book Festival 2026’ is hosting cultural events also with an objective to provide an opportunity for the students to display their prowess in vocal, dance, and musical instruments.
The festival is being conducted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra at Pandit Nehru Municipal Corporation High School grounds opposite SVIMS campus.
“Today’s children will have to be nurtured and shaped into young and aspiring artists of tomorrow. If there is no effort to create artistes today, there will no art tomorrow,” said Bhavan’s honorary director N. Satyanarayana Raju.
Several children, some as little as studying primary class, will get an opportunity to showcase their talent in various art forms during the nine-day event.
Not just concerts, competitions for secondary school, high school, and college students on literary events like poetry writing, quiz, group discussion, singing devotional songs, and recitation of spiritual verses are also being conducted.
The Tirupati Rachaiytala Sangam (Tirupati Writers Forum), which set up a stall at the book festival, will conduct literary sessions to satiate the literary thirst of the citizens.
“The Book Festival conducted here uninterruptedly for the last eighteen years is not just a festival for book lovers, but also for writers, critics, and poets,” said Sahitya Akademi awardee Madhurantakam Narendra. The festival will conclude on February 08, 2026, (Sunday).
