The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Kumbakonam Division, is all set to launch its third delta temple tour package on October 3 with Agriculture Minister R. Vinoth flagging off the new temple tour package service from Kumbakonam bus stand.
The Corporation introduced its first delta temple tour package in 2024 covering all the nine Navagraha temples located in the delta districts. As it received good response, it launched a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) one-day ‘Murugan Thiruthalam’ package tour subsequently, covering six abodes of Lord Muruga – Swamimalai, Eragaram, Enkan, Ettukudi, Poravacheri and Sikkal, in the Delta region.
Now, it has extended its one-day weekend package tour offer to the devotees of Lord Vishnu by chalking out a 15-hour pilgrimage covering 14 of the 108 Srivaishnava Divya Desams, including the nine temples in Thirunangur. The 53-seat air-conditioned bus will commence its journey from Kumbakonam bus stand at around 5 a.m. and return to Kumbakonam by around 8 p.m.
Tickets for this Srivaishnava Divya Desam temple pilgrimage tour (Saturdays and Sundays) have to be booked online through www.tnstc.in or through TNSTC mobile application by remitting ₹1,403 as the fare per passenger.
The temples covered in this package tour are: Sri Sarangapani temple, Kumbakonam, Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple, Nachchiyar Kovil, Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple, Senganur, Sri Parimala Ranganatha Perumal temple, Thiruindhalur, Mayiladuthurai, Sri Kalyana Ranganatha Perumal temple, Thirunagari, Sri Thadalanperumal temple, Vinnagaram, Sirkazhi, Sri Annanperumal temple, Annankovil, Sri Varadharaja Perumal temple, Thirumanikoodam, Sri Kudamedu Koothar temple, Ariyameya Vinnagaram, Sri Narayana Perumal temple, Manimadakovil, and Sri Vaikunthanathar temple, Sri Venpurushothamar temple, Sri Semponsei Perumal temple and Sri Pallikonda Perumal temple, all (the last four temples) in Thirunangur.
