Several tourists from Tamil Nadu sustained injuries in a mini-bus accident near the Kakkadampoyil ecotourism spot on Sunday (January 4, 2026). Police sources said the bus hit a mud wall along the road at Peedikappara after its brakes malfunctioned. One of the women passengers sustained a leg fracture. There were also several children in the vehicle, who escaped unhurt. The injured passengers were taken to a private hospital in Mukkam.
