In an effort to foster civic responsibility and awareness among the youth, Visakha Valley School organised a sensitisation programme on Saturday (January 24, 2026) as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month celebrations, said principal Eshwari Prabhakar.
In a release issued here on Saturday, she said that the event was held in accordance with the directives of the A.P. government, aimed at educating students on the critical importance of road discipline and traffic regulations. Road Safety Pledge was taken by students in order to make them responsible road users, she added.
She emphasised that safety education should translate into action. “Road safety should not remain only as awareness but must be practised in day-to-day life,” she said, urging students to adopt cautious behaviour as a habit rather than a formality.
Officials from the Road Safety Department visited the campus to interact with the students. RTA Motor Vehicles Inspector Butchiraju attended the event as the chief guest. He highlighted the need for constant vigilance on the roads.
