The ghastly car accident that claimed the lives of two young women from Telangana’s Mahabubabad district in the United States late on Saturday evening, left their families heartbroken at their native places.

P. Meghana Rani, 25, and K. Bhavana, 24, from Garla and Mulkanur respectively in Mahabubabad district, met a tragic end when the car they were travelling in reportedly plunged into a gorge in a hilly area in California.

Their sightseeing visit with friends ended on a tragic note, sources said.

The duo hailed from lower-middle class families.

They had moved to the U.S. three years ago for higher education.

In pursuit of their career goals, both had completed their Master’s degrees and started exploring job opportunities, sources added.

The tragic accident abruptly cut short their lives, shattering the dreams of their families.

The grieving parents of the accident victims sought help from the State and Central governments to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased from the U.S.
