A few trains will be short-terminated or short-originated at Koraput to facilitate safety-related modernisation works in connection with a traffic-cum-power block for the placement of segment boxes by the cut-and-cover method for Limited Height Subway (LHS) works over the Kottavalasa–Kirandul Section in the Waltair Division, according to K. Saandeep, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair, on Friday (January 02, 2026).
The trains are: 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger, leaving Visakhapatnam on January 06. In the return direction, 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger will start from Koraput on January 06, instead of Kirandul.
Train no. 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Express leaving Bhubaneswar on January 05 will be short-terminated at Koraput. In the return direction the train No 18448 Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Express will start from Koraput on January 06, instead of Jagdalpur.
Train no. 18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur Express, leaving Rourkela on January 05 will be short-terminated at Koraput. In the return direction, 18108 Jagdalpur-Rourkela Express will start from Koraput on January 06, instead of Jagdalpur.
