Truck, milk tanker collision sparks fire

A maize-laden truck and a milk tanker were gutted in a fire that was caused by a head-on collision between the two in Belagavi district on Saturday.

According to police, the mishap occurred near M.K. Hubballil of Belagavi district during wee hours of Saturday.

After the collision, a fire broke out, and both vehicles were gutted in the fire. Fortunately, the drivers of both vehicles escaped. Following the accident and fire, vehicular movement on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway was disrupted for some time.
