The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Monday criticised the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government, alleging a deterioration in the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu.
In a post on X, the party cited a series of incidents reported in a single day and alleged that the State administration had “completely failed”. The party referred to the death of a youth after he was taken to a police station for inquiry in Manamadurai and the murder of an autorickshaw driver in the same town. It also mentioned the alleged assault of a girl by a person claiming to be a DMK youth wing functionary in Kasimedu.
The post further cited the alleged abduction and sexual assault of a seven-year-old girl in Namakkal and the murder of a 70-year-old man and sexual assault of his wife in Uthangarai, stating that such incidents reflected a serious decline in law and order in the State.
